Associational Committees – 2026

Administrative Committee
6 Members
This committee will meet quarterly or as needed. The responsibilities of this committee are:
- Overseeing property belonging to the Association
- Assisting with staffing of the Associational professional staff
- Recommending organizational leadership
- Managing Associational staff in consultation with the Executive Director, including BSU representatives, recreation, camps, etc.
Finance Committee
6 Members
This committee will meet quarterly or as needed. The responsibilities of the committee are:
- Overseeing the Association’s budgeting process
- Overseeing the Association’s stewardship emphases
Strategy Committee
6 Members
This committee will meet quarterly or as needed. The responsibilities of the committee are:
- Developing new work within the Association’s geographic boundaries
- Developing mission opportunities within Metro Counties, within Mississippi, within North America and throughout the world.
- Leading in social and moral issues
- Assisting churches in developing their members
- Providing customized assistance to the churches through the Associational staff
- Establishing visions and goals for the Association
- Developing strategies for strengthening fellowship among Metro Baptist churches, other Metro area churches, MS Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention

Operations Council
6 Members
Members Consist of: Chairpersons of Strategy, Administrative and Finance Committees, Moderator, Moderator-Elect and Executive Director/Treasurer. The responsibilities of the committee are:
- Evaluating and making recommendations regarding churches requesting membership into the fellowship of the Association
- Any business requiring attention between business sessions
